Blue

When you knit for baby -- Especially,, If she or he hasn't born yet..
First thing you should think of is
whether that gift size will be okay for the season & months of the baby.

When I knitted for my friends' baby,,
I never thought of the possibility --my gift will not be in season..

Here comes the story of BLUE!!

As soon I found out I am gonna have a baby boy,
This was my first knitting project.
Knitty's picture was so Adorable & I could not resist temptation.

I thought If I knit size for 9 months ( beanbean was born on March)
-- It will be in season for my boy to wear this wonderful creation..

Alah!
I didn't count the possibility that Beanbean will be 97 percentile!
Longer & bigger than most of the babies!

After 2 weeks of wearing this pants,,
He has grown out of it..and pants started to be more like paddle pusher

Bah~~~

But Pants is Adorable & was Fun Fun project to Knit!!

Chickadee cardigan

Rowan Classic Baby ' Chick'
With RYC Cashsoft Baby
Size - for 6th month

I loved this cardi!!

Raglan shoulder makes baby more comfortable
-- lesser seam is better!
Yarn wasn't scratchy or itchy
-- which makes plus for baby with skin problem like beanbean.
Cardigan front makes sweater more versatile.
-- Sweater, Cardigan, blanket, changing pad you name it.
Front opening makes it can be worn longer
-- give little more give in size wise & season wise.
also great for squirming little baby when you try to run out fast.

It was great pattern & I highly recommend it.
Beanbean is around a year old size-- but he can still fit in to
6 months size which makes all knitting effort worthwhile.

We love it so much.. My mom just bought yarns for another
RYC baby pattern!

10 months - 44 weeks

Wow!!
Already?

10 months, 44 weeks, 2 naps, 3 bottles, 4 teeth.

Priceless.

Comparison What A Change!

I am thinking of adding comparison Photos of All baby Knitting I did for Beanbean.
and What I think of the patterns.

First..
baby Kimono.

It was my first baby knit & very special.
I have specifically chosen this pattern after I made one for my friend
- and she told me the cardigan last long time..
Because it can be worn Long sleeves & 3/4 lengths.

And..

She was quite correct.



Beanbean was quite comfortable with size first months ( Of course.. you have to consider He was and is a big baby)..
and I was worried that It will only last a week..
But surprisingly, Cardigan lasted till now..



If I Knit it again.. or Have to modify the pattern, I will make closure to be buttons instead Ribbons.
Which can be chocking hazard,, and Baby is busy picks and chews on it..
Cotton Yarn is good choice for pattern.. Especially for sensitive baby skin and easy cleaning. ( which I did not consider before,, But very very essential!!!!)

Winter Bonnet

I haven't knitted much lately..
& it's been such a long time that I did any knitting post.
Here it is..
Very small small knitting post.

Bonnet from Last Minute gift.
Beanbean was too hot to model the hat for me..
But he was willing after he wears only short sleeves onesie.

Book says 4 hours.. But it took quite longer than it says..
May be we were distracted quite often -
It was joint effort with my mom & me
while Baby tugging our pants legs.

Yeah.. I have to get back to knitting..
Really Really miss it..

May be I should start again with small projects that I can finish fast..
Any suggestion??

counting counting

My life has been fill with counting after beanbean arrived..
How many times baby eat, sleep, poop, cry, changed, spit, laugh, smiled, jump, roll, bang, scratch, suck, creamed, brushed, massaged, pee, wiped, poke, cleaned..

I am getting hang of it now..
life with baby is getting little more predictable..

4 months going 5

Beanbean is now 4 months almost going 5.
Here is how he's celebrating!!

100th days

All cultures have unique day they celebrate & enjoy..
One of Korean's big day for a baby is
celebrating 100th day for baby..

it is a day to show up how well your baby is growing
and thanking everyone for their support and help.

Beanbean's 100th day was on June 10th.
Close family & friends had big chinese dinner.



Pictures were very disappointing but when you are busy
with a baby & all the other are also busy with their kids who blame bad pictures!!

Back & Alive

After move to other site..
and tries to desperately work new things out..
I finally figure that I could not abandon old good blogger site.

Other site was all good with new ideas..

Enough storages for photos & videos, flash and photo modifications,
great design skins & background musics and so on

I was happy with multiple new choices & eager to try new site with baby in mind..
But I was heartbroken with trial and errors.

Anyway..

I am back..

I have to confess that I haven't been Knitting..
and very proud of it.

Sheer survival in sleep deprivation is my mode last 4 months
and happy that I am excited about different stool colors baby poop.

I probably can not write much about knitting now..
but plenty to offer on baby stuff.. !!!!

My mother have knitted this adorable version Rowan Chick.
It doesn't fit BeanBean yet - but He can wear it as Coat!

사이즈는 아직 아가에게 맞지는 않지만 너무이쁘지??
이것저것 따져보면 아마도 친구애기 돌때 ( 올해가을)
쯤이면 이쁜 가디건을 입고 축하해주러 갈수 있지 않을까??

A month

A month Already??

It's been BeanBean's a month day yesterday.
We went to Pediatrician for a check up and My tiny baby
wasn't tiny anymore! - He is whopping 12lbs!

All struggles & teary night with breastfeeding really
pay off and He is thriving.

Now it is time for him to show up all me & my mother's
Baby knit!!



He looks serious on picture & doesn't seem to enjoying modeling
But he was happy & didn't fuss whole photo session~~

한달아기치고는 넘크다는..
건강하다는 이야기로 듣기로했다.
의사도 아가가 정상이라고하고 주사맞는동안도
잠시 운것빼고는 너무착하게 굴어서 자랑스러웠다..

물론 집에와서 저녁에 목욕하기전에 fuss한거 빼고는 T.T
