Video game as time consuming, it-will-ruin-your-future kid of art..

I bless my significant other for reintroducing me to wonderful
world of Video game..& many sleepless nights.

I'm typical female game player..
I laugh with Mario, Cry with Zelda..
Have to solve clues to even open little door.
From Halo stained world.. I saw new bright young star game last year..

After my first experience with crochet,

One week of resolution not to neglect blog...

Big baby in my home was so jealous
Brian's new baby girl is getting Cute knitted bunny & wanted to have his own..

I wanted to make some more toy ( easy and fast to make ) - also wanted to start learning crochet..
What a good combination - I can start making some little toy in crochet!!!

Thanks to Little Mochi, I was able to find this Japanese site of writer of this book
If you can read some basic Japanese.. you will find everything that you need to make
This!!!



It was really easy to make!
Only thing you need to know is
how to slip stitch, single crochet, increase & decrease, and crochet round!!
( Before I started this kitty, I wasn't able to tell difference between
single crochet & slip stitches.. )



I am so happy with the result - and thinking of making more..
Only thing that I am little disappointed is~~~

My hubby & my best friend thinks she does not look like kitty..
but more of starved bear....

Update on my New knitting projects I have started..

Have I mention before that I would like to expend my obsession on making things
to not only knitting but crochet & felting too?

While I was checking Ebay, I found Needle felting kit & I had to purchase it. I been really wanted to make small felting projects after I read this entry from Mason-Dixon knitting

I was little put off & intimidated after I received 4 long- scary looking felting needles -- and instruction keep mentioning how painful unintentional poking would be..

Here is my wonderful first needle felted HEART!!


hehe.. I like it like it.. Caution!! Only Heart is felted object!!

It was really easy & I can't wait to make another, slightly more complicated one.

This is my first knitting with lace yarn - I have really hard time knitting this project..
Pattern is not difficult at all - but never knew thin lace mohair yarn can makes your wrist tire really easy...
another thing is There is NO way I can make any mistake knitting this pattern
( because I can't fix problems - Once.. I had to start from first again because I could not figure
the way to fix the problem in the middle.)

Good exercise for taming my tendency to rush & hurry a project to finish...



All these do things for others doesn't mean that I am not making My OWN present!!
Biggest reason I am knitting is All for ME ME ME

Quite a while ago~~
I have purchased this bags of yarns from Webs's 'get wonderful blind choice of yarns in your own risk very very cheap' thing...
Problem with this wonderful idea is .. Yes you get beautiful yarns but there is no way I can choose color..

I been wondering what I should knit with purchase.....( I really gotta make something wonderful.. Unless I will hate myself spending money for blind purchase..)

I have decided to make Circular Shrug ( Thank you Sandra for craftster entry!!)

How was your holiday weekend???

Mine??

Nothing special.. Just unstopped Amazing Race rerun watch
& Knitting Baby Kimono!

Yes.. I have finished baby kimono & it is on my blocking board..

After I have received many compliments on my bunny ( See below)
and enjoyed much on knitting a toy..
I have finally decided to go to little Tokyo & purchase some books..
( Yes!! I'm ready!!
Even though I can't understand about 70% of the Japanese books directions,
I can hassle Japanese speaking friends & family member!! Good thought!!)

Most disappointedly..
there wasn't much book left over compare to last visit to Kinokuniya.
I finally decided to get my courage up to buy from Japanese Amazon..

Hehe.. All books on Zakka & crochet
books will come probably on October!
( now it's time for me to start little crochet )

"진정한 양성평등 위해 남녀 병역 의무 필요"

여고생이 "남성만 현역 사병으로 입대할 수 있게한 것은 양성평등의 원칙에 위반된다"며 헌법재판소에 헌법소원을 제기해 헌재 결정이 어떻게 날지 주목된다.

일산의 모 고등학교 3학년인 고모(18)양은 지난달 18일 병역법 3조 1항과 2항이 양성평등의 원칙과 모든 국민이 국방의 의무를 지도록 한 헌법 39조에 위배된다며 헌법소원을 낸 사실이 4일 확인됐다.

병역법 3조는 대한민국 국민의 남자는 헌법과 병역법이 정하는 바에 따라 병역의무를 성실히 수행토록 하고 여자는 지원에 의해 현역으로 입영할 수 있도록 규정하고 있다.

따라서 남성은 국방의 의무를 수행하기 위해 원칙적으로 모두 사병으로 입대하는데 반해 여성은 지원자에 한해 하사관이나 장교로만 근무할 수 있어 양성 평등 원칙에 어긋난다는 게 고양의 주장이다.

고양은 연합뉴스와 전화통화에서 "어린 시절 아버지의 군복 입은 모습에 반해 커서 군인이 되고 싶다는 꿈을 품어왔다. 병역법 때문에 국방의 의무를 다하고 싶어도 여성이라는 이유로 역차별을 받고 있는 게 현실이다"고 말했다.

고양은 사병 입대가 원천봉쇄된 사실을 알고 하사관 모집에라도 지원해볼 생각으로 국방부를 찾아갔지만 조건이 워낙 까다로워 자신이 도전하기에는 쉽지 않은 분야라고 판단, 발걸음을 돌렸고 결국 헌법소원을 내기에 이르렀다고 전했다.

고양은 청구서에서 "남북이 대치한 상황에서 남자만 병역의 의무를 담당함으로써 개인의 인권, 행복추구권을 침해받고 박탈당하는 일까지 발생한다. 진정한 양성평등 실현을 위해서도 남녀 모두 병역의 의무를 지는 것이 최선의 대안"이라고 주장했다.

고양은 또 "공무원 시험에서 군필자에게 부여한 3〜5%의 가산점에 대해 헌법재판소는 위헌이라고 결정했다. 이는 남성이 일정기간 군복무해야 한다는 점을 감안할 때 역차별을 해소하기 위해서라도 여성의 사병 입대가 허용돼야 한다"고 강조했다.

I think it took me total of about 12 hours.
Knitting part was really easy -- but there was a lots of Other exciting parts..

Seaming, sewing, and weaving ends....
Weaving Ends!!!!!!! ( I already told you exciting parts didn't I? )

Love the result -- Kye even asked me whether I could make one for him...
