My hubby always tells me that I was such a spoiled princess growing up.
Who had everything I wanted to have my hands on-- I got it
.. Without much struggle, pouting lips, nagging, and crying.

But He does not know everything about me!
He forms this idea of me -- through My MoM & DaD!
Who of course say they did give everything to me & My brother.

One thing Me & My brother wanted always
but never got was this Red rubber horsey.


It wasn't that expansive -- but my mom never got us bouncy horsey.
reason was that it is too dangerous..
( also did not get KS mark : Korean Standard qualification mark )
She was afraid that we wil fall from this 2 feet red rubber & crack the skull.

All my friends had it & all my cousins had it.

Except me !

My brother & I love to go to grandma's place on holiday
(Which was about 6 hours of crazy driving hell)
because we could steal red bouncing balls from crying younger cousin's hands
& rode it for hours and hours behind locked door while my mom was too busy preparing food for holiday.

When I went to Chinatown recently --
and saw this Roddy the horsey.. I was crying ..
Joyful cry..

Finally..
I can get my rubber horsey..
in posh granny apple color.

Love the pattern..
I would like to make same pattern for winter version..
have to figure out how to use thick wool yarn for netting part.



Another pattern that I have finished is

Orangina in Southwest trading Co's Bamboo





Love the color & result of fitting.
only complain is I thought bamboo yarn would be little bit lighter & cooler..
but it was quite opposite from my expectation..
I don't have courage to wear top that would make me sweat like piggy on burning marathon 100 degree weather like this week...

Probably I have to wait till October -- and wear this as Vest instead..




Finally..

I been ' Everything for Me to wear knitting ' phase quite a while..
and it is time for me to get out of me-fest..

Because I could not go out --
not even for my once or twice a weekday night billiard adventure with Min,
and could not take last minute job offers due to my condition,
Only satisfaction I could get was from finishing knitting projects.

One Good thing in this week was..
Finally I have received My Rowan Magazine..
Addition to my long postponed purchases of
Scarf Style & Last minute knitted gift books.

I was really afraid whether I would like it -- and been dreading..
after reading all other knitter's reaction
and saw small thumbnails size braveheartish pictures.

You might think I am crazy..

Started to knit bottom 3X3 ribs.
( A -- hem!!! One two three, One two three,,
Slowly falling asleep)

After I checked All other knitter's finished result,
I have adjusted mine to be little bit bigger & longer
to cover tummy warm & create look of slipping neck line
SEXY!

Let see whether it will turn out as I have planned
--because I have tendency to measure & think myself little bit
smaller & shorter than my actual sizes.




Mesh Tank
Yes..
It is another wonderful stefanie Japel's pattern.
I been knitting this on my other #5 circular needle my dad got for me
from Korea ( Bamboo - My favorite needles!)

Then last night POW!
I broke the needle..Stepped on it..
while imitating 'Wave' move all young Korean do from TV.

I was hoping I can finish this one together with Orangina

whether it is extremely cold or hot..

I have been really proud of my skin - anti freckles or brown spot!

Starting 2005 spring..
I saw brown spot under my eyes & broken veins!!

and I did it this weekend.( it was little painful)

Sure all these will go away after a week???

My other self is created about a year ago when I unconsciously posed Pink Lady's UFO Dancing Move while I was sleeping...
Now she is about 15% happier than me..
and working as a announcer at fish show at Sydney aquarium
haha!

Death of Steek cami

I predicted & was afraid on every stitiches till I reached the end..

All my worries finally proven to be truth Today.


I was extremly exhausted today-- because..

Even though It wasn't my wedding, I could not sleep last night.
I was too hungry to go to sleep ( from small portion of cold noodle I had that night
because I was worried I will have tummy , 똥배, 배둘레햄... displaying at the wedding T.T) and
add to agony, Kye was snoring....


After Whole day of standing around & smiling incessantly for
friend's wedding, I bring myself to finish steek cami..

and Here it is..

There is no way I will wear this out -- Not even I will wear this in the privacy of my home..
Unforgivable.. ill effects..

Stripes

About 90% of Sleek Ribs Tank are done
& Here is the result..

This was my first ever knitting project I did with
Self-stripe yarns -- and I was having blast!
All yummy colors and whenever color changes, I was
"Lookie Lookie , Amazing!!!!"


Never anticipating there might be some evil effects will be revealed soon..
When I tried it on..



Size was little bit big on me.( Which I have anticipated little bit.. Due to yarn & needle substitute)
But never knew stripes will point everyone where my exact nipple will locate!


right there. Where front decreases starts!!!! And exact point!!!

Because it is knitted in a way creating diagonal way.. My choice of yarn wasn't creating any flattering effect...

uumm..

I have knitted too much already..
and I kind of like funkyness of this.. And I am courageous enough to
wear any weird stuff -- in a name of fashion..

Congratulation

My good friend June is getting married to Jeff
( who Me & Kye knew seperately before they become couple) tomorrow.
I been going to rehersal dinner and fittings..
Yes..It's my duty... I am maid of honor..

When I watched them at rehersal yesterday,

I purchased wonderful Teva Durham's Loop - D - Loop book
couple of months ago & purchased yarns for several projects..
But haven't actually bring myself to finish any wonderful projects
from book for a long time.

But now here it is..

First.

Corkscrew Scarf..

Yarn : Berroco"Quest" - Rose glow - Same yarn as the book
Modification : None.. just made it shorter than what book recommended
Couldn't wait to finish long scarf.

Comments : Pattern was really easy - I could remember whole pattern without
problems & very compact to bring project wherever I go..
Only complain is when I wrap scarf around the neck,
due to round construction, scarf laid too flat.

I already purchased another color of Quest yarn from Webs
color Black ( thought it was blue black from online swatch - but when it arrived..
it was jet black - Kye said that it looks like tangled up crazy woman's hair)
& already started second scarf.

Yarn-over Steek Vest

Yarn : Crystal Palace Yarns - Deco Ribbons
Color : 112 Straw into gold
Modification : Made bottom ribs 1" longer than pattern call for
& used US13 due to guage

Comments : Pattern was alsoeasy & so quick to knit because it uses US 15 needles.
Pattern does not say what to do for back neck binding.
Wish shoulder is little wider than what it is.. it makes my shoulder looks wider..

Love this pattern.. such a easy quick knit...
If I make one more.. I will make it slightly longer & bigger..

I was screaming like little girl from excitement.
And scared someone might think I am such a dork.

처음에 Kye가 라디오에서 듣고와서 '보러갈레?' 하구 물어볼때
떱떠름한 표정으루 ' 뭐 별루' 했는데..

유재석이 온다는 한마디에.... 혹.. 해가지구

거금 15불* 2인 + parking 10불 + 핫도그 & 콜라 12불 + 나쵸 & 맥주 17불
을 투자
아주 재미있는 5시간을 보냈다..

나만 유재석을 좋아하는줄 알았는데..
보러온 1만 관객 ( 음.. 조금 과장을 보태어) 적어두 50%이상이
나와같은 생각을 하고 온듯..

먼저 한국 대표팀의 경기는 가볍게 6:0으로 미국팀을 제압

다음으로 헐리웃 대표팀과 한국 연예인팀의 경기 시작!

전혀 유명한 celebrity 없는
내생각에는 Hollywood blvd 사는 할아버지팀이 아닐지.....
